Southern Marine Consult's main objective is to provide first class, competitive and professional marine surveys with particular emphasis on preventive actions and safety at sea, including consultancy related to pre-planning, risk assessment, design of sea fastening etc. SMC have qualified staff of 1^st class marine officers with experience from vessel operations.

SMC represents Lloyd's in the counties of Aust-Agder, Vest-Agder and Rogaland.
The Lloyd's Agency System is a worldwide network of over 400 companies whose principal function is to provide a range of surveying services to the maritime market.
