transportation of
goods.
Prior to shipment, our designers and engineers perform
calculations with regards to means of transport, capacity of
potential lifting equipment , positioning of cargo and goods as
well as determining sea fastening arrangements and devices. Before the loading
operation commence, the surveyor will prepare a risk assessment
and meet with client's representative and stevedores in order to
prepare and agree upon a time schedule and loading order. The surveyor
supervises the
loading and fastening operations on behalf of or in presence of
client's representative. All necessary certificates will be signed
upon completion of the loading operation.
At the destination point, the surveyor supervises the discharge
operation reporting any non-conformities or damaged goods.
A survey report will be completed and submitted at the end of
all projects containing calculations, drawings and pictures as
well as specific and general information of all involved
operations.
SMC acts on behalf of national and international insurance
companies in connection with damage and pre-shipment.
